Mission Statement
We are called to educate and encourage members and friends of First Presbyterian Church about how endowment giving can transform lives and advance God’s word and work.
The Endowment Ministry Team has two primary responsibilities:
- We actively encourage and invite gifts to First Presbyterian Church’s three endowment funds. We do this by educating potential donors about how legacy giving can support the Church’s mission work and faith-growing programs for future generations. - We provide oversight of distributions from the endowment funds. Endowment grants are the “fruit” of the endowment funds. The Endowment Ministry Team assists those who seek grants, evaluates their requests in keeping with established guidelines, and makes recommendations to Session regarding the ultimate funding decision.
