Facilities

We have outstanding facilities that we take pride in, to include:

    Sanctuary
Fellowship Hall
Narthex
Library
Lighthouse
Southeast Addition
Possible Future Addition

Sanctuary

Our sanctuary provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for prayer and reflection. Assisted hearing units and large-print Bibles and hymnals are available upon request.

Fellowship Hall

The fellowship hall is located immediately off the narthex, near the sanctuary. It has plenty of room for tables, a bulletin board with info and sign-ups, moveable walls that can create separate meeting rooms, lots of storage and a complete kitchen. And be sure to check out our popular Coffee Central.

Narthex

The narthex now features the redesigned entrance to our church. It has two conference rooms and a lift as well as entrances to the sanctuary, fellowship hall, church offices and the library.

Library

Our church library now has almost 2,100 items. The collection includes books (fiction, non-fiction and reference), videos, DVDs, magazines and Christian music CDs for all age groups. Come in and see what we have for you or review our inventory online by clicking on one of the catalog links below:

How to use the online library

Gary Fangboner, Diane Wagner, Jane Lund and Barb Cole are our librarians.

If you would like an item added to the collection, please fill out a request form that is available in the library.

Lighthouse

Following a significant remodeling, the Lighthouse has resumed its vital role as a remarkable youth-oriented center, now with modern facilities including state-of-the-art multimedia, stage area, lounge, a complete kitchen, and a dining/game room.

"When I think of a church, I think ofone that will meet my needs but not only through programs, but with relationships. Yes, it has to have a fire or at least a spark started. Jesuscame to build relationships with people first and then worked with the people he got to know and that is where the spark and fire started. I see FPC developing relationships and offering good quality programs. I feel we are on the verge of something great.

Southeast Addition

Construction is now done on the southeast corner of the church – south of the sanctuary and east of the original nursery. There is new office space for the senior pastor, associate pastor, finance secretary, Christian education director and youth director as well as a work area for the administrative secretary and a conference room.

The space that was the administrative secretary work area and the senior pastor's office has been remodeled to provide a second conference room, storage space and a coat room with that floor level also raised to that of the sanctuary. The handicapped entrance is located east of the current main entrance, featuring a separate door and lobby leading to a new lift that moves between sidewalk and Narthex floor levels, extending handicap access to everywhere on the main floor except the library.

Possible Future Addition

The third phase of the facilities expansion program is a two-level addition extending approximately 40’ to the west of the current Fellowship Hall. It is envisioned to include an expanded fellowship area, a classroom/choir area, an adult classroom/brides room area, a somewhat expanded kitchen and expanded restrooms on the upper level. On the lower level there will be additional children’s classroom space with a large central “gathering” area, a relocated and larger nursery and additional restroom facilities. There will be an elevator that connects the entrance level with both floors. When it appears that the congregation will support this phase, with Session’s approval, the building committee will:
  • secure from the village a new special land use permit,
  • validate the interior schematic layout with those who would use these areas,
  • engage an architect to develop a construction design package,
  • secure a construction estimate,
  • obtain Session approval for a building fund campaign and then
  • ask the congregation for approval to proceed with construction.

The cost of building the new Lighthouse, the additions to our church and the new parking lot was $1,200,000. We have already paid for 75% of that cost leaving a current building fund debt of about $300,000. Any contributions that you would like to make toward paying off that remaining debt would be welcomed and appreciated. Your contribution envelope should be marked for the “building fund”. Paying off the debt sooner will reduce the interest that we pay.

If you have any questions about this project, please contact our Building Committee.
        Elevation

"I dream of a vibrant church home in which families, youth, singles, and seniors all feel welcome and accepted. As members of God's loving family, every person will grow toward spiritual maturity and seek to live a purposeful, God-pleasing life. I see attractive, yet simple, facilities that will be widely used throughout the week as we participate in the multitude of opportunities offered. Using the gifts and talents God has given us, we will work together to accomplish our mission."
